Uber armored wardens?
Ok. Here is my data.
Earth at 16.
Stoning does 105 damage.
Binders, Priests and Taskmasters take 79.
Deep Knights take 56.
Rangers take 43.
Based off this info, how much damage would you expect Wardens to take? Most of you would say 79. However, they only take 56. My question to you is, is this because they have earth armor? I would appreciate similar numbers from flare or some fire/air/or water attack.

Fireball does about 105 to wardens, so I don't think their armor is naturally higher. I would say they had to have had armor of earth on when you did that, or were in a ward against elements, or something.

yes, they are wearing earth armor, silly wardens.
fireball does 131 to them, flare does 63, imolate does 65-ish...i'd imagine that a lightning orb would tear them up (141+), seems to me like they have the least protection vs. fire though.

So my question is what does fireball do to Deep Knights, and what does it do to wardens?

It does about 79 to Deep Knights, from my experience. Edited my above post to be more accurate.

Ok. Here is my new data.
Fire at 16.
Fireball does 127 damage.
Binders, Priests and Taskmasters take 98.
Deep Knights take 70.
Based on the above info, once again you might expect Wardens to take 98. But they take 139. So there are elemental weaknesses? Weird.

Edit: Why is this weird? For example, Ice Golems are weak against fire damage.

Um, I said weaknesses. As in, fireball does more damage than it should, even if the wardens were level 20 with 60AL.

Aye... there are such weaknesses around Tyria. As allready was mentioned there are the Ice Golems who take a lot more damage from fire. And basically you're screwed with water magic in shiverpeaks as almost everyone is resistant.
However, once you're ring of fire, it its their turn to be weak against water. And when you're in the underworld you'll notice a lot of mobs there have weakness towards water and the spells do more damage than they state they do.

This is why it's good to be a Necro. Shadow Strike and Vamp Gaze ALWAYS do 110 and 68 damage respectively.

Monsters are lvl 24, meaning that they have more attributes and maybe...more resistance or defend to such attacks.

Heh, wardens are some of the first enemies I target when I play Amelia down in the furnace, just because her fire magic kills them so fast. I figured the wardens were all around weaker to elemental, but I guess not.
I'd be interested to see the numbers for air and water magic now. I might have to do some experimenting.
